YOSHITO "JERRY" SAKAI Age 89, of Aiea and One Kalakaua Senior Living, passed away on August 24, 2015, in Straub Hospital. He was a retired Ft Shafter civilian Supply Officer and Army veteran who served in post-war Germany. His wife of 64 years, Yuriko Miyasaki Sakai of Kilauea Kauai, predeceased him on January 15, 2014. He is survived by daughters, Shelley (Maurice) Kaya and Norma (Roy, MD) Ebisu; brothers, Uichi Sakai and Harold Masaru Sakai; grandchildren, Katherine, Jennifer, Jason, Erin, and Ryan; and great-grandchildren, Davin, Benjamin, and Violet. He was a kind and patient person who will be dearly missed by family and friends. He loved to play games with his grandchildren and often made funny jokes and whistled a happy tune. He enjoyed golfing, newspaper puzzles, and socializing over a meal and a beer. Later, he took loving care of his wife during her long illness. Condolences: email@example.com.
