Ronald Tadashi Furuike, 90, of Kaneohe, a retired self-employed heavy-equipment mechanic at R & W Tractor Repair, died in Kaneohe. He was also an Army veteran who served with the 442nd Regimental Combat Team in World War II and a recipient of a Silver Star and two Purple Hearts. He was born in Kahuku. He is survived by son Raymond, daughter Donna G., sisters Carol Berk and Joyce Sasaki, three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Private services.
