DORA (DODIE) M. POWLISON Aug. 31, 2015 Dora (Dodie) M. Powlison, 94, died peacefully at her home in Lanikai. She was the loving wife of the late Peter A. Powlison, and a devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She had worked for many years as a Central Union Pre-school teacher, and, after retirement, she greatly enjoyed traveling. Dodie was born in Port Townsend, Washington, and moved to Hawaii in 1948. She is survived and deeply loved by sons David and Daniel Powlison, by daughter Diane Powlison Smith, by 5 grandchildren (Peter Powlison, Gwenyth Powlison Ray, Hannah Powlison Belkovic, Parker Smith and Cameron Smith), and by 5 great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be held on October 31 at 10:00 am, in the Atherton Chapel of Central Union Church. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her memory to the Peter '40 and Dodie Powlison Endowed Scholarship at Punahou School or to the Alzheimer's Association.
