Esther Puailiau Brown, 65, of Kealakekua, Hawaii, a cashier at Food Mart, driver at Roberts Hawaii and the Hawaii County Economic Opportunity Council, and ukulele teacher at Hale Hookipa Senior Center, died in Hospice of Kona's Nakamaru Hale. She was born in Kealakekua. She is survived by daughters Lenora Brown, Melis Jones, Tracy Lee Sims and Arlene Henderson; stepmother Juana Rosario; brothers Karin and Solomon Haleamau; sisters Florence Mockchew and Laverne Howard; stepbrothers Junior and Eddie Rosario; and 21 grandchildren. Celebration of life: noon Saturday at the old airport's Makaeo big pavilion in Kailua-Kona. Casual attire. Flowers welcome.
