Charles Ah Cho "Sonny" Young, 82, of Naalehu, Hawaii, a licensed general contractor, owner and operator of A.C. Young Enterprises and A.C. Young Farms, and a National Guard veteran, died in Kona Community Hospital. He also was sole proprietor of Charlie's Water Service, former chairman of the Kau Soil and Water Conservation District, and former president of the Kau Lions Club. He was born in Kealakekua, Hawaii. He is survived by wife Elizabeth; son Randall; daughters Barbara Young and Charlett Kaaihue; sisters Daisy Fujimoto, Mary Luna, Pearl Yasuhara, Barbara Schmitt and Sandra Duarte; half brother Nalani Kaapana; and three grandchildren. Visitation: 5 p.m. Thursday at Dodo Mortuary, Hilo. Services: 6 p.m. Additional visitation: 8 a.m. Oct. 2 at the mortuary. Services: 10 a.m. Burial: 1 p.m. at Homelani Memorial Park. Casual attire. Flowers welcome.
