James Tokuo "Jimmy" Takata, 88, of Honolulu, a retired Alii Agency manager for Hawaiian Life Insurance Co. and an Army veteran who served in World War II, died in Honolulu. He was born in Honolulu. He is survived by wife Julia A., sons Melvyn "Mel" and Wayne T., brother Kenneth S. and three grandchildren. Visitation: 5 p.m. Wednesday at Hosoi Garden Mortuary. Services: 6 p.m. Casual attire. No flowers.
