Kataru Yano, 99, of Honolulu, a retired Pacific Construction Co. superintendent and an Army veteran, died in Palolo Chinese Home. He was born in Kawaihae, Hawaii. He is survived by wife Eva U., daughter Alma, brothers Shoniro and Yoshiro, four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Private services.
