Marciel "Maldo" Maldonado, 86, of Keaau, Hawaii, a retired civil service employee, former MTL bus driver, former commercial truck driver for Richard Lee & Co. and an Army veteran, died in Yukio Okutsu State Veterans Home. He was born in Kukuihaele, Hawaii. He is survived by sons Anthony "Sunie" and James M.; daughters Betty C. and Stephanie A. Maldonado, and Vanessa Maldonado-Crail; brother Albert; sisters Alice Oliver and Betty M. Rodrigues; 16 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren. Visitation: 9:30 a.m. Wednesday at Dodo Mortuary, Hilo. Services: 10:30 a.m.Burial to follow at Hawaii Veterans Cemetery No. 2. Casual attire.
