Shinsuke "Shima" Shimabukuro, 96, of Mountain View, Hawaii, a self employed anthurium farmer, part-time custodian for Waiakea Intermediate School and an Army veteran who served in the 100th Infantry Battalion HQ Company and F Company during World War II, died in Yukio Okutsu State Veterans Home. He was born in Pahoa, Hawaii. He is survived by wife Akiko; sons Rodney and Burt; daughters Cynthia Niimi, Lynn Matsuda and Susan Hangai; half-sister Eleanor Evangelista; 12 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
