Daniel Kapionuenue Kaeka III, also known as "Danny" and "Hawaii Five-0," 79, of Hilo, formerly of Vineyard Haven, Mass., a night watchman at Vineyard Haven SSA terminal and a Marine Corps veteran who served in the Korean War, died in Keaau, Hawaii. He was born on Oahu. He is survived by wife Shirley V.; sons Daniel K. IV, Daryl K., Dennis K. and Dwight K.; daughter Hannah K. Scott; sisters Velma Lou Keanuenue and Kathryn L. Nakoa; brother Rodney K.; half brothers Dennis, Edward and Henano; nine grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Private services.
