VINCENT MANANTAN JR. 65, of Honolulu died at home on October 28 2015. Vincent is survived by his brother Francis Manantan; his niece Sheriann Racquer;his grand nephew Jacob Racquer; and niece Jaymie Pinho. Vincent was preceded in death by his mother Elizabeth Yee; his father Vicente Manantan Sr. and his sisters, Hope Townsend, Charity Townsend, Faith Townsend, Sheila Manantan. Vince attended and graduated from Damien High School and with The University of Hawaii. Vince started his career in 1974 as an Air Conditioning Mechanic with Honeywell for 23 years, followed by the AOAO Ilikai Marina in 1997 up to October 2015 as a Lead Air Conditioning Technician. Vince made many friends at the AOAO Ilikai Marina and called his work and friends his family. Besides work, Vince was very passionate as a P.A.L. Coach in Pauoa, where he started coaching baseball and basketball to young children in 1977 for over 30 years. This is where he became "Coach Vince" to all that was part of his life. Vince was an avid fan of the UH Warriors and attended all the UH football games. Especially the games that always seem to stop in Las Vegas. Services will be held at the Star of Sea Catholic Church on Monday, November 30th at 10:00 am with Mass to follow at 11:00 am.
