Yoshiaki Shimizu, 99, of Honolulu and Hilo, a retired Hawaii Community College architectural drafting teacher and an Army veteran who served in World War II with the Military Intelligence Service, died in Straub Clinic in Honolulu. He was born in Honohina, Hawaii. He is survived by son Byron, daughter Annette, five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Committal services: 3 p.m. Thursday at National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific, Punchbowl. Aloha attire.
