Hiram Tetsuo "Skinny" Hagiwara, 94, of Hilo, a retired insurance executive and an Army veteran who served with the 442nd Regimental Combat Team, 100th Infantry Battalion during World War II, died in Straub Clinic & Hospital. He was born in Honokaa, Hawaii. He is survived by wife Haruye, sons Eric J. and Neal S., daughter Leila Kajiwara, sisters Amy Kidani and Anna Chung, four grandchildren and a great-grandchild. Visitation: 10 a.m. Saturday at Bayview Golf Club, 45-285 Kaneohe Bay Drive. Services: 10:30 a.m. Hilo services pending. Casual attire. No flowers. No monetary offerings.
