Thomas "Tom" Dawson, 69, of Kailua- Kona, a retired air traffic control manager for Kona Airport and Rochester International Airport, former fire chief for Volunteer Fire Company 7 Bravo and Bushnell's Basin Fire Department, and an Army veteran, died at home. He was born in Paterson, N.J. He is survived by wife June, daughters Michelle Gulick and Cindy Kane, and two grandchildren. Private services.
