He is survived by wife Darlynn K.E.; sons Charles "Charlie Boy" Sakurai Jr. and Gregory and Christian Lau; daughters Chalin "Ipo" Sakurai and Nicole and Kaimana Lau; brothers Michael Sakurai and Derek and Darren Iwamoto; sisters Diane and Lori; and eight grandchildren.
