MITSUO MOMOHARA Mitsuo Momohara, 79 died on December 7, 2015 in Gardena, CA. "Mits" was born on 2/14/1936, the seventh son born to Matsu & Kama Momohara. He was born on the Big Island and was a graduate of Laupahoehoe High School class of 1955. He moved to Honolulu soon after graduation where met his future wife, Gail. They married and moved to Los Angeles, CA in 1958, raising their two sons in Gardena. Mits retired from Hughes Aerospace in Lomita, CA after 25 years of service. He enjoyed many hobbies including gardening, taking numerous walks throughout the day and traveling frequently to Las Vegas. His quiet, gentle and endless supporting spirit will be greatly missed. He is survived by his loving wife Gail, sons Richard "Rick" and Bert; brothers Matsuo, Shigeo, Hiroo, sister, Mae Matsushige and grandsons Ryan and Andrew. Funeral service to be held in Gardena at Gardena Buddhist Church on 1/16/16 and a private memorial service will be held at a later date in Honolulu.
