Richard Det Kong Goo, 89, of Waianae and Las Vegas, a retired civil servant and an Army and Army Air Corps veteran, died in Las Vegas. He was born in Honolulu. He is survived by companion Sionnie Decker; sons Richard U.U., Darrell M., Dennis K., Duane K. and Ross K.; daughters Maureen K. Gaasch, Doreen A. Steele and Kathy L. Goo; brother Benjamin Jr.; sister Dottie Abrue; half-sisters Terry N. DeRossett and Patty Casler; half-brother Jackson; 12 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. Service: 10 a.m. Jan. 12 at Nuuanu Memorial Park and Mortuary. Burial: 1 p.m. at the National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific, Punchbowl. Aloha attire. Flowers welcome.
