Hiroko Nahakuelua, also known as "H" and "H.N.," 89, of Kailua-Kona, formerly of Papaaloa, Hawaii, a dairy helper and Papaaloa Community Store retail clerk, died at her daughter's home in Kailua-Kona. She was born in Hakalau, Hawaii. She is survived by sons Ronald, David Jr., Lawrence Sr. and Roland; daughters Lei Sato, Elaine, Irene, Vivian and Lynn Nahakuelua, Edna Izumi and Thelma Spencer; brother George Hirowatari; sister Asako Shitabata; 19 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. Visitation: 5 p.m. Jan. 27 at Dodo Mortuary Chapel, Hilo. Services: 7 p.m. Graveside services and burial: 9 a.m. Jan. 28 at Hawaii Veterans Cemetery No. 1, Hilo. Casual attire. Flowers welcome.
