Chiyo S. Kaho'onei, 82, and husband Raymond "Kui" Kaho'onei Sr., 84, of Saugus, Santa Clarita, Calif., died. She, a homemaker, was born in Japan. He, a retired western region director for NASA and an Air Force retiree who served in the Korean and Vietnam wars, was born in Honolulu. They are survived by sons Sidney K. and Raymond Jr., daughter Jewel K. Scoggins, three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. She is also survived by brother Shuji Sakihara. Service: 10 a.m. Jan. 28 at Nanaikapono Protestant Church, 89-235 Pua Avenue, Nanakuli. Private burial. Aloha attire. Flowers welcome.
