Haden Grady Marriott
Screenshot 2016-01-25 09.31.09HADEN GRADY MARRIOTT 66 of Honolulu, passed away Dec 27, 2015 at Queen's Hospital. He was born at home in Nanakuli, O'ahu, April 8th, 1949. He attended Nanaikapono Elementary and Waianae High School. He graduated from the Kamehameha School for Boys in 1967. He later attended the University of Hawaii. He is survived by his only son, Tyson Keola Alapaki Marriott (Tasha) and grand-daughters Malia Ululaniokeaweopu Marriott and Anuhea Keohukapulani Marriott; his brother Wendell Perry, sisters Elizabeth ''Sweetheart'' McNicoll (Alex), Lee Ann Kamoku (Paul), also half-sisters Edith ''Pinky'' Sensano and Paulette ''Sunday'' Soto. Also many cousins, nephews and nieces. He was preceded in death by his loving mother, Jennie Kina Peneku Perry. He began his career as a stevedore at McCabe Hamilton and Renny in 1982 and was later hired by Matson Navigation Company in 2000 as a gantry crane operator. An active member of the International Longshore and Warehouse Union, ILWU, he was also a Longshore Unit 4201 Trustee for several election terms. He served a total of 33 1/2, years on the waterfront. The family will hold his services at Bishop Memorial Chapel of the Kamehameha Schools Jan 30th, Saturday. Visitation at 10:00am to 11:00. Services 11:00 am to 12:00 pm. Life Celebration and pa'ina at St. Louis Alumni Hall to follow at 3:30 pm. Casual/aloha attire. He will be interred at a later date.
