ETHEL SHIROMA Ethel Kameko Goya Shiroma, 98, of Honolulu passed away peacefully surrounded by family on December 13, 2015. The Puunene, Maui born Ethel married Robert Shiroma in 1943 before moving to Honolulu. Her career spanned decades in retail including Vimi's, Jay T. Marshall and Liberty House. She will always be remembered for her savviness in sales, her glamorous and immaculate dress, humor, boundless energy, feistiness and generous heart. She loved line dancing, ballroom dancing and Okinawan dancing. An expert seamstress, she loved crafting as well. We will truly miss her. She was predeceased by her parents Ushiya and Yeishu Goya and husband Robert. She is survived by daughter Sharon Brown; son Carl (Myra) Shiroma; grandchildren, Jeffrey (Kekaulani) Brown, Jonathan and Lindsey Shiroma; 4 great grandchildren; sisters Mildred Mitsuno Nakasone, Myrtle Haruko Ishikawa, Janet Machan Nakamura; and brother, Hideo Goya. Private services were held.
