Robert (Bob) Seiji TokudaROBERT (BOB) SEIJI TOKUDA Passed away on Saturday, January 23, 2016, only weeks after his beloved brother, Sei Tokuda, also passed. Bob was born in Waipahu, Hawaii, on July 23, 1923 and attended school while helping on the family's farm with his siblings. He enlisted in the U.S. Army in September 1944. Following his discharge in 1946, Bob returned to the family's farm, and later signed on as a contract worker in Kwajalein (Marshall Islands) after the family retired from pig farming in the 1960's. Upon his retirement in 1988, Bob relocated to Albuquerque, NM, where he was an avid golfer and bowler, and a volunteer for many years at Palo Duro Senior Center until physical limitations interfered with his active life. His final resting place will be at the National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific (Punchbowl Cemetery), per his wishes. He is survived by one brother, Sam (Seiko) Tokuda of San Pedro, California, along with many extended family members that include sisters- in-law, nieces and nephews. A dual memorial service will be held at Jikoen Hongwangi Mission on Saturday, February 6, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. with his beloved brother, Sei.
Our deepest condolences to the family and friends of the deceased
