72Leodigaria Melendrez "Leo" Mascarina, 87, of Kealakekua, Hawaii, a retired elementary school teacher, died in Kona Community Hospital. She was born in Clarin, Bohol, Philippines. She is survived by husband Cosme; daughters Judy West, Nelia Veloso and Elnora Olorvida; sons Galileo and Rex; brothers Gorgonio, Francisco, Mario and Baldomero Melendrez Jr.; sister Ricarda Relavo; nine grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. All-night vigil starting 5 p.m. Feb. 12 at St. Benedict Catholic Church, Honaunau. Additional visitation: 8 a.m. Feb. 13 at the church. Mass: 10 a.m. Burial to follow at the church cemetery. Casual attire. Flowers welcome.
