He is survived by wife, Hideko Watanabe; sons, Wendall Watanabe, Derek (Fe) Watanabe, Jay (Dona) Watanabe; daughter, Ann (Michael) Nishida-Fry; brothers, Atsushi "Archie" (Ruth) Watanabe, Harold (Wiley) Watanabe; sister, Mildred Sasaki; 5 grandchildren. Private services were held.
