ROBERT NORIHIDE KINOSHITA
ROBERT NORIHIDE KINOSHITA 1931 - 2016 Age 85, Kailua, Hawaii, passed away January 17, 2016. Born January 7, 1931 in Lanai City, Hawaii. Member of Honpa Hongwanji Hawaii Betsuin. He is survived by current wife Constance Yoshioka-Kinoshita; son Dean (Aileen), grandsons Matthew (Candace) & Ryan, 1-great-grand daughter; daughter Sandra (George) Nakamoto, grandson Ty; daughter Carol (Alan) Lau, grandaughter Julia and grandson Davis. Schooling includes Lanai High & Elementary School and Chaminade University. His life's career include Biological Aide with the Bureau of Entomology & Plant Quarantine, US Department of Agriculture; US Army Reserve as Staff Administrative Assistant for US Army Hawaii Training Center, Infantry, 100th Battalion, 442d Infantry Regiment, 411th Engineer Battalion (Construction), US Army Personnel Administration Records Center, Army Reserve Personnel Center, and retiring from the US Army with last assignment at Supervisory Staff Administrative Assistant to the 100th Battlion, 442d Infantry. Upon retirement, he entered in private business as President/Owner of Honolulu Transfer & Storage, Hawaiian Nursery Products, Honolulu Specialty Seafoods, Honolulu Tire Service, and Honolulu Container Sales & Rental. He is predeceased by his former wife Mildred Hanako Isobe, father Jisaburo, Mother Hatsuno, brothers Toshio (in Japan) and Wayne Kenji, sister Sachiko (in Japan). For his military service, he was awarded the Legion of Merit, Meritorious Service Medal, Army Commendation Medal, and Army Achievement Medal. He was a founding member of SIBA (Sand Island Business Association), GFBA (Go For Broke Association), and LACA (Lanai Alumni & Community Association). For religious activities, he served as President of Sudhana Fellowship for Honpa Hongwanji Hawaii Betsuin. Visitation 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, February 21, 2016, to be followed by service at 4:00 p.m. at Honpa Hongwanji Hawaii Betsuin located at 1727 Pali Highway, Honolulu. Casual Attire. No flowers please.
