Rodney Gene "Chicken Man" Medeiros, 68, of Papaaloa, Hawaii, an Army veteran, a supervisor at the former Hamakua Sugar Co. and retired U.S. Department of Agriculture laboratory technician, died in Hale Anuenue Restorative Care Center. He was born in Olaa, Hawaii. He is survived by sons Quentin J., Shelton P. and Jason L.; daughter Tracie Lynn L.; father Harry; sisters Janis M. Medeiros-Neizmen and Dayna Unea; and 11 grandchildren. Visitation: 6 p.m. Feb. 23 at Dodo Mortuary Chapel, Hilo. Services: 7 p.m. Additional visitation: 9:30 a.m. Feb. 24 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Hilo. Mass: 10:30 a.m. Burial to follow at Hawaii Veterans Cemetery No. 2, Hilo. Casual attire.
