Joseph A. Lanahan, 61, of Lee's Summit, Mo., a retired Navy officer and a librarian, died in Hawaii. He was born in East St. Louis, Ill. He is survived by wife Jean; sons Joshua and Michael; stepson Ryan Ellis; stepdaughter Larissa Forck; sisters Joan Eads, Kathie Brady, Marcia Barron and Mary Keutemeyer; and a grandchild. Service in Missouri. No flowers. Condolences: oahu mortuary.com.
