Mamoru Sawai, 89, of Wahiawa, an Army veteran and a retired tool room supervisor for Standard Oil Co. of California, died in Wahiawa. He was born in Kipapa. He is survived by daughter Dayle Kurokawa; brother Satoru; sisters Mitsuru Sawa, Sumako Sawai and Chikako Nishimura; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Private services. No monetary offerings.
