73Emmie Hironaka Shigezawa, 93, of Newport Beach, Calif., formerly of Honolulu, a U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service personnel officer and author of "Pake Patch, Growing Up in Old Hawai'i: A Novel" (2003), died. She was born in Honolulu. She is survived by son Gordon, daughter Christine McDaniel and two grandchildren. Services: 4 p.m. Feb. 27 at Nuuanu Memorial Park & Mortuary.
