Elizabeth Tyndale Livingston
$nameELIZABETH TYNDALE LIVINGSTON Elizabeth (Beth) Anne Tyndale Livingston was called home into eternal life on January 22, 2016 in Bellingham, Washington at the age of 87. She was born on December 26, 1928 in Birmingham, Alabama, the daughter of Mr. Edward J. and Marcelle E. (Donaldson) Tyndale. Beth studied commerce at San Francisco State College. Both Beth and her husband, Ted Livingston attended Berkeley Baptist Divinity School prior to appointment by the American Baptist Foreign Society as missionaries to Japan in 1952. Upon completion of her missionary work in 1971, they moved to Hawaii where Beth taught elementary school in the Hawaii public schools. After retirement, Beth and Ted moved to Bellingham, WA. Beth became involved in a number of activities at the First Baptist Church of Bellingham. She was the Missions Coordinator, active in the American Baptist Women's Ministry, and served on the FBC Outreach Committee and the Futures Committee. She also served on the Christian Education Committee. At the Firs Conference Center in Bellingham, Beth was a Bible class teacher. She was also a member of the Whatcom Maritime Historical Society. Beth is survived by her three children: Thomas Livingston, Linda Donegan, and Mark Livingston, as well as grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ted, on March 30, 2009.
