HIROSHI TOKUNAGA, 94 Hiroshi Tokunaga, 94, of Kahului, Maui; passed away at his home on January 31, 2016. He was born on September 14, 1921 in Puunene, Maui. He helped support his family at an early age and he worked for 46 years for HC&S and retired as a foreman. After work he spent time helping Isokichi Toyama with his pig farm and was a gifted salesman selling shoes, meat, vitamins, chow fun, and orchids. As an avid orchid grower he was a proud winner of the best in show at the Maui Orchid Society. He enjoyed bowling and golfing and later the less exerting video poker. He was a devoted member of the Wailuku Shingon Church for 50 years. Visitation will be held on Sunday, March 6, 2016 at Ballard Family Mortuary Kahului at 9:30a.m. with service at 11:00a.m. Burial to follow on March 7, 2016 at 10:30a.m. at Maui Memorial Park. Hiroshi is survived by his wife Tomoko Tokunaga; sons, Alan (Cheryl) Tokunaga, Roy (Nora) Tokunaga, Wayne (Amy) Tokunaga, Michael (Patricia) Tokunaga and Kenneth Tokunaga; grandchildren, Andrew Tokunaga, Chris Tokunaga, Damon Tokunaga, Kevin (Yun) Tokunaga, and Lori (Peter) Shen; great grandchildren, Alyssa Tokunaga and Sydney Shen; sister, Misao Wada.
