Albert Tadashi Watanabe
Feb. 18, 2016 Albert Tadashi Watanabe, 74, of Hilo, a salesman for Big Island Toyota/DeLuz Chevrolet and an Army retiree who served in the Vietnam War, died in Hilo Medical Center. He was born in Hilo. He is survived by wife Marylina F.; sons Henry T., Allan K. and Eric T.; stepsons Christian R., Eduardo Jr. and Honney Escobar; daughter Donna A. Eckersley; stepdaughters Deneen O. Louie, Renee Ongais-Salvador, Rosanne Ongais, Daisy Ongais-Kilaulani, Glory Ann de la Cruz, Joy Ferrer, Edelyn Camat, Marife Pascua and Mhardee Timbol; brother Leslie; sister Jean Hee; mother of children Sayoko; 15 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. Visitation: 9 a.m. March 8 at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Mass: 10 a.m. Additional visitation: 4 p.m. March 9 at Dodo Mortuary. Service: 5 p.m. Graveside service: 9 a.m. March 11 at Hawaii Veterans Cemetery No. 2. Casual attire.
