Hiram Tetsuo "Skinny" Hagiwara, 94, of Hilo, a retired Prudential Insurance executive and an Army veteran who served in the 100th Infantry Battalion, Headquarters Company and 442nd Regimental Combat Team, died in Straub Clinic & Hospital. He was born in Honokaa, Hawaii. He is survived by wife Haruye, sons Eric and Neal, daughters Leila Kajiwara, sisters Amy Kidani and Anna Chung, four grandchildren and a great-grandchild. Visitation: 9 a.m. March 14 at Dodo Mortuary, Hilo. Services: 11 a.m. Aloha or casual attire. Updated information for an obituary published Jan. 5.
