Robert Shusaku Taira, 96, of Honolulu, formerly of Kauai, an Army veteran, died. He was born in Honolulu. He is survived by daughters Tina Okahara, Trudy Nishihara and Patricia Mondoy; brother Richard; sister Jane Inukai; 10 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. Private services.
