Harriet (Patty) Wond Little
HARRIET (PATTY) WOND LITTLE (January 23rd, 1931 - March 3rd, 2016) "Patty", as she preferred to be called, was born in Kalihi Valley, in the Territory of Hawaii, to Michael Milner and Deolinda Correa Wond. She graduated from Sacred Hearts Academy in 1948, and went on to graduate from the University of Hawaii in 1952 with a degree in accounting. She returned to UH to get her teaching credential. She taught elementary school for approximately 23 years in both Hawaii and California. In addition to being a dedicated teacher, she was also a very accomplished pianist. Most importantly, she loved and was devoted to her family and friends. She is survived by her loving husband of almost 58 years, Kenneth G. Little, of Vallejo, CA., four daughters: Leslie Hamilton (and her husband Stephen), Linda Reagan, Lisa Irving, and Laura Kirkpatrick (and her husband Gary), a brother Michael Wond, Jr. (and his wife Mary), five grandchildren: Holly Hamilton, David Reagan (and his wife Audrey and son Charlie), Christopher Reagan, Kelley Allender and Luke Allender. She will be remembered by family and friends as being a loving, caring, and very active person. She had a generous heart and made friends everywhere she went. Patty and Ken shared an adventurous spirit and loved to travel. They shared many, many wonderful adventures together. Her favorite days were undoubtedly the ones she spent with her family & friends. After suffering a massive stroke on February 13th, she passed away peacefully at Napa Valley Care Center on March 3rd, 2016. The family wishes to express their gratitude to Kaiser Hospital and Napa Valley Care Center for their compassionate support in her last days. A Memorial Mass will be held in her honor on Monday March 21st at 11:00 a.m. at St. Dominic's Catholic Church located at 475 East I Street, Benicia. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Catholic Charities of Solano, at 125 Corporate Place, Suite A, Vallejo, CA 94590.
