HELEN YAYEKO (DOI) NAKAKURA January 17, 1937 - February 17, 2016 Helen was born in January 17, 1937 in Waianae, HI to Toshio and Matsuyo (Ebesu) Doi and was a long-time resident of Gardena, CA. Helen passed away suddenly but peacefully on February 17, 2016. She was the beloved Wife of 53 years to Robert Nakakura, loving Mother to Wade (Alberta) Nakakura, Keith (Tracey) Nakakura, and Guy (Angela) Nakakura, proud Grandma to Michael, Ryan, Tyler, Kody, and Reece, little Sister to Jane (Okemura), Walter, and the late Elaine, Satoru, Elsie (Kamimura), Edwin, and Wesley, and Aunty Helen to not only many Nieces and Nephews but she was that same Aunty Helen to anyone that she ever met in her lifetime. She was a beautiful giving soul who will be deeply missed by all. Funeral services to be held at the Gardena Buddhist Church, 1517 West 166th Street, Gardena on March 27th at 2:00 P.M.
