79Garfield "Gary" Kang, 81, of Hacienda Heights, Calif., formerly of Honolulu, a retired director of engineering and software program developer for TRW Systems in Redondo Beach, Calif., died in Whittier, Calif. He was born in Honolulu. He is survived by son John Louie Jr., daughter Janet Louie, brother Fillmore and sister Susan Kang Sunderland. Private burial at Diamond Head Memorial Park.
