81Geronima Ramos Solmerin, 94, of Hilo, a retired macadamia nut picker for Mauna Loa Macadamia Nut Co., died at home. She was born in Batac, Ilocos Norte, Philippines. She is survived by sons Samuel, Winston, Joel and Royal Solmerin; daughters Daisy Antonio, Miriam Guerrero, Grace Jadulang and Rachel Castro; sister Sensya Bugarin; 23 grandchildren; and 26 great-grandchildren. Visitation: 6 p.m. today at Dodo Mortuary. Services: 7 p.m. Additional visitation: 8 a.m. March 31 at First United Protestant Church, Hilo. Services: 10 a.m. Burial at Alae Cemetery. Casual attire.
