Masao Takara, 82, of Pearl City, an Army veteran and retired U.S. Postal Service clerk, died at home. He was born in Koolaupoko, Hawaii. He is survived by wife Phyllis J., sons Darrell M.K. and Bradley M.K., brother Thomas Takara and two grandchildren. Visitation: 9 a.m. April 8 at Hosoi Garden Mortuary. Services: 10 a.m. Casual attire. No flowers.
