Masao Takara, 82, of Pearl City, a retired U.S. Postal Service clerk and an Army veteran, died at home. He was born in Koolaupoko. He is survived by wife Phyllis J., sons Darrell M.K. and Bradley M.K., brother Thomas, sister Sue Furukawa and two grandchildren. Visitation: 9 a.m. April 8 at Hosoi Garden Mortuary. Services: 10 a.m. Casual attire. No flowers.
