Shuji Akiyama, 94, of Honolulu, a retired insurance examiner and an Army veteran who served on the 442nd Regimental Combat Team, 100th Battalion, died in Honolulu. He was born in Kawaiki, Hilo. He is survived by daughters Karen Teruya and Gwen Murphy, and three grandchildren. Private services.
