Edward Koichi Nakano, 80, of Kaneohe, a retired import and export businessman, retired state deputy director of personnel, former state director of Selective Service and a retired Army veteran, died in Care Center of Honolulu. He was born in Honolulu. He is survived by wife Betty M., son Kevin K., daughters Tracy R. Bean and Lisa-Ann M. Adams, brother Kimiya, sister Yukari Nakano-Madell, eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Visitation: 5 p.m. April 14 at Hosoi Garden Mortuary. Service: 6 p.m. Casual attire. No flowers.
