Joaquin "Pete" Nieves, 62, of Pearl City, a retired United Installation Corp. vice president and an Air Force veteran, died in Honolulu. He was born in New York. He is survived by wife Thea, son Kainoa, mother Celestina and sisters Nancy Torres, Nirsa Gautier and Marie Villalobos. Visitation: 9:30 a.m. April 14 at Valley of the Temples Memorial Park Chapel.
