Satoru "Horace" Masaoka, 91, of Hilo, an Army veteran and a retired Hilo Motors employee, died in Life Care Center of Hilo. He was born in Honomu, Hawaii. He is survived by wife Cecilia; sons Ted, Sidney, Milton and Lester; sister Chieko Medeiros; 15 grandchildren; and 33 great-grandchildren. Visitation: 9 a.m. April 14 at Dodo Mortuary. Service: 10 a.m. Burial to follow at Hawaii Veterans Cemetery No. 2. Casual attire.
