Hideo "Henry" Funada, 92, of Hilo, a retiree from the former Hawaiian Equipment Co. and an Army veteran who served in World War II, died in Life Care Center of Hilo. He was born in Hilo. He is survived by sisters-in-law Carole Funada and Nobuko Oshiro. Visitation: 5 p.m. April 18 at Dodo Mortuary Chapel, Hilo. Services: 6 p.m. Graveside committal services and burial: 9 a.m. April 19 at Hawaii Veterans Cemetery No. 2. Casual attire. No flowers.
