George Robert Lawelawe Jr., 84, of Wahiawa, a retired federal and state employee and an Army veteran, died in Wahiawa. He was born in Honolulu. He is survived by sons William and Franklin, daughters Niana Downey and May "Nani" Marrotte, sisters Puala Santiago and Alicia Booth, 14 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren. Visitation: 8:30 a.m. April 21 at Mililani Mortuary-Waipio, mauka chapel. Services: 10:15 a.m. Committal services: 2 p.m. at Hawaii State Veterans Cemetery, Kaneohe. Aloha attire. Flowers welcome.
