73Roland Kiaaina Perez Sr., 59, of Kailua-Kona, a retired deputy sheriff, died in Kona Community Hospital. He was born in North Kohala, Hawaii. He is survived by wife Ginny; daughters Jody and Jesslie Hook, Kyleigh Jones and Jade Perez; sons Kia Jr. and Gabriel Perez; brothers Willy and Kaleo Perez, Andrew Carvalho and David Puhi; sisters Leina and Mapuana Carvalho, and Barbra Lani Sugata; and nine grandchildren. Visitation: 5 p.m. April 22 at Gospel of Salvation Church, Kokoiki. Additional visitation: 9 a.m. April 23 at the church. Services: 10:30 a.m. Luau to follow. Scattering of ashes at a later date.
