DELORES ELIZABETH STOCKSTAD REIERSON Delores Elizabeth Stockstad Reierson. Born December 2, 1926 in Chamberlain, South Dakota. Daughter of Paul L. Stockstad and Elizabeth Hansen. Raised in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. Graduated Kitsilano High School and the University of British Columbia. Worked for BC Telephone after graduation before following a co-worker over to Hawaii. Hired by United Airlines to work in their passenger service department at Honolulu International Airport. Met her future husband, Bob Reierson, on a blind date and was married on March 5, 1955 in his parents' Roundtop home. Avid golfer and lifelong member of the Oahu Country Club; she volunteered many years for the Festival of Trees in support of Queens Medical Center. Expert seamstress, knitter, crocheter, quilter, needle pointer and parallel parker. All family members are proud owners & wearers of her handiwork! Traveled the world with her husband and love of her life. Favorite spots included Norway, London, New York and her childhood home of Vancouver. Talented, hard-working, humble, unpretentious, loyal and kind--- the best of the best! Survived by her husband of 61 years, Robert R. Reierson; her daughter, Betsy (Dan) Livingston of Newport Beach, California; and her four grandchildren, Danny Livingston, Leilani (John) Jones, David (Jaimee) Livingston and Eva Reierson. Predeceased by her older brother Paul (Anne) Stockstad and her son, Michael Reierson. The family also wants to give a heartfelt aloha to the dear caregivers who helped Del on the last mile of her mortal journey. Services will be held Thursday, April 21 at 11:00 AM at the Oahu Cemetery Chapel, 2162 Nuuanu Avenue, Honolulu. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that persons desiring to honor Del make a donation to their favorite charity.
