Max Arthur Souza, 79, of Kailua-Kona, a retired cable splicer for Hawaiian Telephone Co. and a Marine Corps veteran who served in the Korean War, died at home. He was born in Honolulu. He is survived by daughters Donna Darnell and Leah Souza-Loscheider, son Michael, brother Wilfred, five grandchildren and a great-grandchild. Service: noon May 2 at West Hawaii Veterans Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations suggested to Hospice of Kona or Disabled American Veterans Kona Chapter 7.
