George "Kappy" Kapeliela, 84, a musician, vocalist and drum major for the Royal Hawaiian Band and a Hawaii Army National Guard veteran, died in Kailua. He was born in Honolulu. He is survived by wife Jolynn T., sons George Thronas and Guy Kapeliela, daughter Leimomi Gonzales, brother Solomon Jr., sister Emily McRae, 11 grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandchild.
